There’s not much about this workout that I didn’t like! I was pleasantly surprised that it was much more than just walking in place, which is what I had expected. What I didn’t like about Leslie Sansone's indoor walking workout I loved that I could log four whole miles on rainy days without leaving my house. It’s also great to be able to get in a solid walk while in the comfort of your living room when the weather doesn’t permit you to go outside. I appreciate how all of the workouts I tried were very encouraging and instructional, which is perfect for beginners.

After signing up, I got access to the monthly plan titled “Walk, Run and Lift” and it was a much larger offering than the free walking workouts that I found online.

The one-week free trial is a nice way to test it out before committing to $4.99 a month. I decided to sign up for the Walk At Home app to see if it offered anything different than the free workouts. I loved how it included fun moves, like side steps, that reminded me of aerobics. The workout felt like a dance aerobics class that always came back to walking in place in between different moves. The moves were low impact and included some modified butt kicks as well as side taps. It was a slower pace and very family friendly. Next I tried a 15-minute, one-mile workout that’s meant for families to do together. The whole workout was low impact (no jumping!), which I think is great, especially for people with joint issues. Then we did some high knees and arm pushes in the air. It included side-to-side steps as well as some kickboxing moves. The first workout that I tried was a 12-minute routine with a one-mile walk. During the workout, you walk in all directions - side to side, forward and back, in place - which reminded me of old-school aerobics! She’s really motivating and the music gets you going. Sansone helps turn walks into a full-body workout by changing up the pace, the speed and the movements. I tried Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home workout The app offers a larger library of workouts in addition to walking, including strength training and abs. Sometimes I just have to keep walking to give my body a rest. Many of the videos focus on walking for a set distance (like a mile) and then end with a cool down. Leslie's walks really fill a need in my life. I just liked the option to choose the color mile that I felt like doing that day. The set is bright, the different colored outfits are fun, and I thought the music was pretty good. Each mile feels different and I like the variety of moves she's brought to plain 'ol walking. She's her usual bubbly self here and interacts well with the background exercisers - chatty but not over the top. I usually use individual miles as a warmup to other workouts or when I'm short on time. You can follow the daily schedule for the week and get a great workout or do individual miles. It won't be one of my favorites, but I like it for the options it gives. Overall, I think this DVD is worth trying. There weren't those awkward moments and/or transitions in this workout. In some of those, she would start a move and then not have enough time because the music was ending. The miles in this workout seem really well planned, at least in comparison to some of her earlier workouts. With the options the DVD gives for setting up a walk, there is quite a bit of variety of moves for Leslie. Others seem to use newer moves like moving kickbacks, tap outs, boxing moves, etc.

Some of the miles seemed to be more traditional with more of the 4 moves, plus kickbacks. I like it!Ģ of 2 people found the following review helpful: The format of this DVD is cool because there are formatted walks with toning or I can customize my own. It does not bring on a "Jillian" sweat, but I got a nice, energizing workout even when doing the shortest walk. This was my first Leslie purchase, and I was skeptical that I could get a good workout. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful:
